I’m sure those of us who use self-hosted WordPress for our blogs each have our own set of plug-ins that we love.
Here is my list of “must-have” plugins for WordPress:
Comment Luv – Who doesn’t want to show a little love on their blog to the people that take the time to comment?? I love this plugin. It searches the commenters blog and adds a link to their latest blog post.
Reply Me – You ever hit reply to a commenter and hoped they’d come back to see it? Or hope they’ve subscribed to your comment feed? Personally I don’t subscribe to comment feeds and I love when I leave a comment and the blog owner replies… to me… and I actually get that reply!
Sexy Bookmarks – An easy and oh-so-sexy way for your readers to share your posts. You pick and choose from a large list. You can see mine at the bottom of every post… it says “Sharing is Caring.” Sexy, right?
Slickr Flickr – A very eay way to integrate your Flickr photos on your blog. Has many options and it’s customizable. My Flickr isn’t exciting, but I wanted to include it on my blog, so I used Slickr Flickr in my footer.
Twitterlink Comments – This allows a user to add a link to their Twitter along with the comment. Sort of like the URL section of a comment… only for Twitter. I love it. You can just click and auto install or add it to your form where you’d like it (which is what I’ve done on this blog).
WordPress Related Posts – Keep your readers on your blog. Have them rifle thru your blogs archives and find older posts they may not have been around for.
Then of course there are the usual: Akismet Spam, WordPress.com Stats, and WP Contact Form.
What are some of your “must-have” WordPress plugins? Any that you know of that I should add to this blog? I’d love to hear!
Tomorrow is Flashback Friday!!! I hope to have more participants this week, but I do know these things take time. Tomorrow I’m sharing that time Brandy and I took her mother’s car…

Great for WordPress blogs, but somewhat more tricky for blogger. Sorry I can’t add to the list. At one point I thought about changing over, but just like blogger better. Not that there’s anything wrong with WordPress. LOL.

I like blogger too. But I also love WordPress. I do believe that blogger has the best free service out there!
I love your use of comment luv, I think it’s the first time I’ve seen it in use! Also wondering how the “reply me” works. Does it send an email to the commenter with your reply as well as post it? And just curious, what plug in is it that is putting the rss feed right in this comment field? That’s pretty darn cool!

I am on the wordpress comment dashboard. I just hit reply and now I’m replying to you. You should get this as an email and yes, it will post to my blog as well!!
It is CommentLuv that is pulling your RSS feed and adding a link to your last post.
I’m curious if you’ve had any feedback about people getting an email when you reply to them? Any negative feedback? Also, do they have to select the box that says notify me of follow up comments via email or is that just there from the general wordpress comment field? I can’t remember if I selected that before or not.
Thanks for your explanations!
