I hope everyone had a safe and Happy fourth of July! We went to the parade field, same as last year. Although this year we didn’t visit the Kiddie Land because Matthew is still recovering.
We went early enough to see the Golden Knights Freefall Parachute Team. The kids really wanted to see that. We were close enough this year that they were right over us, it was pretty neat.

They had Colt Ford in concert and I had no idea who he was so we didn’t even go near the stage. Then they had Chevelle in concert, again, I don’t know who that is, so we didn’t even go near the stage, although I have to say his {their?} music was pretty good.

Then there was the parade of flags, which I didn’t take any pictures of. But Gillian was really excited to see that. She was on the flag team at school this year. For assemblies she had to carry the NC flag. And in the mornings the flag team has to raise the flag, or put it half mast. So she was really excited to see the parade of flags. And yes, we hooted and hollared for New Hampshire and Massaachuetts.
Matthew totally embarassed me. After they bring out the American flag, of course they sing the national anthem and they ask everyone to assume the position. IE: Hand over heart. But Matthew refused to do it at first.
Then it was time for fireworks.

We didn’t get home until 11pm. We played with more sparklers and then off to bed we all went. It was a very long night but the kids had fun. Hannah was kissing and hugging strange little boys at the field… lol, she is quite a little flirt.

Our 4th was awesome. Posted pictures and video at the old bloggerooni. The parachute team looks like something I would have enjoyed. Sounds like a good time all around.

My 4th was just kinda blah this year…but my littles were visiting the other grandparents so I didn’t feel like going all out!
I know who Colt Ford is but I can’t say I listen to him. I do, however, LOVE Chevelle!
